In 2015, I started my VA business online. I didn’t have a clue what content was, I didn’t think I did anyway, nor did I know the difference between content and content marketing.
The only thing I did know was that I needed it to build a successful business and start signing clients. >>Money Making.
In true new start up fashion I went to Google to research both topics and hoping to get a better understanding of each and how in the HELL can I learn to do it myself. >>> BIG MISTAKE! Information Overload!!
In this blog I am going to share with you the difference between Content Creation and Content Marketing.
What Is Content?
In simple terms, content is anything and everything that you put out there for your audience to hear, read, view, or watch.
It’s simple status updates, selfies, live streams, questions, or value post. To be honest this list is not near as accurate as I would like it to be but the list of content is so long that I would need to create a blog all of its own.
The technical explanation/definition of content is…
The presentation of information for a purpose to an audience through a channel in a form. >>> A little too technical for me lol
What Is Content Marketing?
It’s a plan of where, what, when, and how you will distribute and deliver your content. A well mapped plan to see where you will make your efforts to get the maximum results.
A marketing and business process for creating and distributing relevant and valuable content to attract your target audience.
Over the next two weeks we are going to cover all things content including content marketing.
The goal for this series is to ensure that you are able to effectively and easily create compelling content that not only positions you as an expert but also converts to paying clients.
