I am sure by now you have noticed that Facebook groups are everywhere. When I first thought of starting mine I struggled with it because I thought no one wants to join another Facebook group. ---- > Mindset Issue!
Yet starting my group was the best thing that ever happen to me and my business. If you haven’t started a Facebook group you should really consider it for a number of reasons but you shouldn’t start one just because you think you should have one. You need to make sure you are starting a group because you want to and you know that you want to serve your audience.
Here are the things I didn’t realize when I started my Facebook group
:::They are TONS of work. You have to be willing to show up and put in the work in order for it to be successful.
:::You have to spend 95% of your time in your group. When you have a group you can’t just follow set it and forget it because you are the leader and others will be looking to you as a role model. They will show up if you are showing up.
:::You have to post in your group multiple times a day. If your group only gets 1 or 2 post from you a day or every other day it will become boring and people will start leaving.
:::Give them mind blowing value that is exclusive to just your group. Make sure that people know that you have the best value ever but they need to join your group in order to see it.
Not only did I not know that I needed to do all these things plus some. I also didn’t know that I needed to set goals for my group.
If you have a Facebook group you need to set goals for the growth of your group.
Here are some of the goals I have for my group:
📌How many members a year/month/week/day do I want to join?
📌How many post do I want each month/week/day from other members?
📌How much engagement do I want each month/week/day?
📌How much financial gain do I want from my group?
Have you started your own Facebook group? What goals do you have for your group?
